CORROSION, ABRASION, AND CHEMICAL RESISTANT COATINGS
The loss of effectiveness, reduction in part life and deteriorating appearance (due to corrosion/chemical damage) is of real concern. Losing a well matched/tuned car header, piping, valve body, pump casing, heat exchanger, tube sheet, or other critical chemical or refining equipment to corrosion and rust is not only expensive to replace but costly "downtime" is unacceptable. A good aluminum engine manifold can become junk if the water inlet area corrodes excessively. Team Synergy Coatings offers a variety of protective coatings that also enhance the appearance of a part. Many of these coatings will have additional benefits such as Thermal Barrier or Thermal Dispersants capabilities.
Team Synergy Coatings will not chip, crack, or peel - some can handle base temperatures to 2,000°F (1,094°C)!
Our corrosion and chemical resistant coatings have been thoroughly tested. Our standard benchmark performance tests include:
- Against MIL-C-81751B - Our values exceed all listed minimum requirements
- Abrasion - IEEE 515.1
- Salt Water Spray - ASTM B117, 5000 Hours at 100°F (38°C)
- Adhesion - ASTM 3330
- Impact - ASTM D2794
- Flexibility - ASTM D522-60
- Thermal Shock - ASTM D2485 and Ford Motor Company WSA-M29-170-A3
- Chemical Resistance - Acid Solvents, Fuels, and Brake Fluids
- Hardness - ASTM D3363
- HRC - Equivalent Rockwell C Scale
- RMS - Surface Smoothness & Brightness
